Agendr is a dedicated movement to promote the visibility and advancement of women in music technology, music production and the recording arts. It was born out of a need to highlight,  connect and educate women in a field where women are chronically under-represented both locally and worldwide. In other words, our mission is to take over the world! lol

Some people have asked “Is a group like this really necessary?”…well consider this.

Have you ever showed up at a venue with only male engineers? Have you ever tried to express your ideas in the studio and treated like your ideas don’t matter? Have you ever lifted equipment and your male counterparts don’t want you lifting simply because you are a female? Have you ever gone to a venue to work, and the guys passed you straight because they didn’t know you were the engineer/ producer/ woman in charge? Are you here to learn more about the audio industry or do you simply want to network with other women and get opportunities in your career?

If your answer is yes to these or any similar situations to these, then you are in the correct place…If this has not happened to you then that’s great! The fact is that this happens to a lot of women in the industry, whether you are a singer, songwriter, musician, engineer, producer, technician, technical assistant, designer, etc. We are here to ensure visibility, equity and diversity in the industry, and we can only do that starting with YOU!
